Here at BoxBeacon, we want to find ways to interact with and give back to our local community. Giving back means we are always on the lookout for ways to donate to worthy causes or for volunteer opportunities where we can lend a hand.
One way we recently decided to give back was supporting the event
Putt2CureMS. This is a family-friendly fun event that hosts a mini-golf tournament to raise money and awareness for the MS 150/National MS Society, benefiting Multiple Sclerosis research. We fully support this cause, both on a personal level from having loved ones battling MS, to a larger scale knowing how many people globally are affected by this disease. Helping fund research to eradicate MS is important in our eyes.
BoxBeacon participated by sponsoring one of the tournament golf holes. Sadly we were unable to send our own team members to participate in the actual tournament. Given our (lack of) mini-golf skills, it was highly unlikely we would have been strong contenders anyway. We have a year to practice for next year though. The event looks like it was tons of fun and had a great turnout, and we were pleased to be involved.
